Role overview:

The Content Producer plays a pivotal role in refining and enriching our resource library to exceed the expectations of primary school teachers in the UK and beyond. The position involves comprehending teachers' requirements, meticulously identifying gaps in the current library, and strategically enhancing it through resource commissioning, creation and improvement for comprehensive and high-demand content. The role reports to the Head of Content, and works closely and collaboratively with Freelance Teacher Contributors, Graphic Designers, fellow Content Producers and the Content Operations Manager.

This role offers a meaningful opportunity to positively impact teachers by equipping them with effective teaching tools.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Freelance Teacher Contributors, Graphic Designers, and fellow Content Producers to contribute to a comprehensive library of primary school teaching resources by:

  • Developing a profound understanding of teachers' needs and staying updated on educational practices, strategies, and curriculum changes.
  • Continuously analysing the competitive landscape to identify emerging customer needs and library gaps.
  • Thoroughly exploring the existing library to identify and articulate needs for new resources, commission updates, and action removals.
  • Following established processes and guidelines to strategically create, update, and enhance resources aligned to all learning areas, special and seasonal events, social emotional learning, classroom management and teacher organisation and across all year levels using teaching experience and creativity.
  • Ensuring the creation of adaptable teaching resources that cater to diverse learning needs, incorporating innovative strategies and instructions for effective differentiation.
  • Ensuring resources are age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, and promote inclusivity and diversity.
  • Applying impeccable attention to detail to ensure resources and supporting website content is accurate, visually appealing, relevant, useful and engaging.
  • Incorporating innovative ideas and technologies to enhance interactive and digital components.
  • Communicating effectively with Freelance Teacher Contributors for needs, expectations, and actionable feedback.
  • Managing relationships with team and cross-team stakeholders for efficient curation and production.
  • Employing copywriting and editing skills for website content that communicates value and benefits effectively.
  • Optimising website content for usability and SEO to aid discoverability.
  • Using data, analytical insights and feedback to continually improve the library.
  • Managing competing priorities while maintaining high standards.
  • Embracing change and new challenges to enhance library impact.
  • Fostering a collaborative and transparent work environment.

 

What will you need to succeed?

  • Over 5 years of primary classroom teaching experience (Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2) with deep understanding of educational needs and curriculum standards.
  • Working knowledge of the National Curriculum and Ofsted requirements.
  • Proven experience in content curation, management, and resource development for primary school education.
  • Proficiency developing high-quality teaching resources using a wide range of software tools, including Google Suite, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Diverse digital copywriting and editing skills with ability to create compelling values, benefits and instructional content.
  • Experience in content management systems (CMS) and SEO techniques.
  • Creative mindset with ability to design engaging teaching materials.
  • Strong organisational skills, managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adaptable to feedback.
  • Self-motivated and capable of independent work.
  • Customer-centric mind-set and decision-making.
  • Familiarity with digital learning and classroom technology advantageous.
