Description

We are seeking a Travel & Expense Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting Team at Bakelite.  This role is responsible for the Bakelite’s T&E policy and general coordination of our travel programs including our Concur system.  This position requires knowledge of program policies, procedures and system implementation to communicate and process information. This position will work out of our Global Corporate Headquarters in Atlanta, GA.  

Essential Functions:

  • Daily processing of expense reports
    • Maintain and/or upload (Concur) expense exports into appropriate ERP system daily
    • Analyze and reconcile balance sheet postings
    • Provide reporting analytics
    • Answer emails from the expense email box on a daily basis
  • Set up and maintenance of credit card program in coordination with HR and Treasury
    • Manage company card application process
    • Liaison with credit card provider
    • Training for card holders
    • Communication to employees regarding card issuance
  • Provide implementation support during transition to Concur including but not limited to
    • Set up of Concur environment (eg. cost centers, GL-accounts and approval routings)
    • Create test scripts for testing and test
    • Verify general ledger postings in ERP
    • Manage interfaces
    • Provide Concur training for new employee
  • Create travel expense accrual on a monthly basis and prepare reconciliation
  • Prepare and send communications regarding non-compliance with T&E policies
  • Liaison between employees and Travel Partners
  • Support audit request and inquiries  
  • Participation in projects groups
  • Concur maintenance as needed

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Effective  communicator oral/written
  • Experience with Concur is a plus and/or implementing a corporate card program
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel
  • Handling of sensitive and/or confidential information
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Understanding of Accounting / Accounts Payable
  • Financial/Business analysis experience – gathering data and performing analysis

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related field
