Pipeline Integrity Engineer (Junior/Intermediate)

Calgary or Houston


THE ROLE
As a Pipeline Integrity Engineer, you will assist Dynamic Risk’s Engineering team to adapt our Asset and Integrity Management Solution, ensuring that it meets our client’s risk management requirements. You will be an important contributor to multidisciplinary project teams, helping to identify optimal technical solutions and ensuring that project objectives are met or exceeded, thereby delivering strategic value to our clients. You will also participate in custom engineering assessment projects focused on pipeline systems and assist in the utilization of reliability or quantitative risk-based approaches that support clients’ decision-making processes.

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO AS A PIPELINE INTEGRITY ENGINEER
 

·Apply your skills in interpretation, QA/QC, codes and regulations, outflow modeling, valve analysis, class assessments, risk assessments, threat assessments and report preparation

·Assist with delivering client workshops related to pipeline system threat, consequence, and risk assessment model development

·Understand the nature of available data and support systems to establish the best risk solutions

·Help deliver verbal reviews and written project reports to external clients

·Organize incoming workload, prioritizing your efforts to complete tasks on time

·Ensure deliverables meet the highest quality standards possible by applying quality management principles


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
 

·A bachelor’s degree in engineering, specializing in the geomatics, electrical, mechanical, chemical, petroleum, or civil fields

·Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel

·Ability to research, gather, evaluate, and interpret data

·A strong attention to detail with superior analytical and decision-making skills

·Excellent communications skills, both oral and written

·Strong digital skills

·Sound time and project management skills


The following are considered assets:

·Previous experience with a pipeline operator related to pipeline integrity, upstream Oil & Gas production and/or processing

·Experience with class assessments in Canada or the U.S.

·Working knowledge of industry standards such as 49 CFR 192/195, CSA Z662, and ASME B41.8s

·Ability to use ArcGIS
