Senior Modelling and Simulation Engineer

Location: Mirandola (MO)

A Day in the Life

• Utilize MATLAB/Simulink for simulation and model-based design as necessary.
• Conduct hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations for testing purposes.
• Develop and analyze control algorithms when required.
• Design and execute function and application testing on HIL.
• Perform analysis of model and equipment data.
• Provide support for test equipment handling, maintenance, and necessary tools.
• Enhance or develop control functions based on research projects, utilizing model-based design, C code, rapid prototyping, etc.
• Collaborate with personnel from other departments to resolve development issues, including those related to systems, software, and architecture.
• Generate documentation for tests and models.

Minimum Requirements

• Master's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of four years of experience in model-based design or HIL/SIL testing.

Qualifications & Experience: Essential

• Proficiency in model-based design and simulation using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience in software testing using hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and/or software-in-the-loop (SIL) environments.
• Ability to develop control algorithms when required.
• Experience in analyzing test results.
• Familiarity with software debugging and the use of emulators and debuggers.
• Familiarity with electronics tools (oscilloscope, tester, digital wave generator, CANalyzer, …). Understanding electrical circuits.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming.

Qualifications & Experience: Highly Desirable

• Knowledge of test automation using Python is advantageous Experience in planning and executing function and application testing on system and HIL/SIL.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Git.
• Familiarity with Speedgoat hardware.
• Understanding of software process methodologies.
